Evidently this is the RK from the latest Comiket last month; not much info about it yet except for the pix I've seen in eBay/Yahoo auction listings. Title: 遺薫 , translated by Babelfish as "Leaving behind Kaoru" (eek!)

From my initial post in lemonscented_rk, before there was any info about the pronunciation:
the title is 遺薫, where the second kanji is just Kaoru's name; the other kanji has an ominous-looking cluster of meanings that does center around "leave behind" or "remain", in the middle of a range that extends from "forget" to "bequeath at one's death" (with some weird branches out to "genetic inheritance", "bedwetting"/"wet dreams", and "qualified candidate excluded from office"). I hope this doesn't mean that Yamaguchi is going to stop working on RK.

OTOH, Breen lists the possibly relevant compound 遺香: ikou, which refers to the lingering presence of someone's personal scent in clothes that've been left behind or given away. Although the latter kanji looks very different from Kaoru's name, it's actually rather closely related-- it has the same general meaning of "fragrance" and is also sometimes used to write the personal name "Kaoru" (though I didn't pick that one up when I was poking at the name a while ago).

However, 薫 doesn't have the converse alternate pronunciation kou, so the title doesn't seem to be a direct pun though it could still be a sideways allusion. If so, that's really nifty.

The latest eBay auction shows a page with two narrative captions between panels (and yay, I'm finally figuring out how to use JWPce!)--
同じ体温と体液が...

互いを往き交って

(Huh. Why do the kana look different-- did my JWPce defaults accidentally put them into a different font or bold them?)

--which I'm in the process of looking up; WIP.

往き返り: [yu]ki[kae]ri, round trip
往き来: [yu]ki[ki], street traffic, highway, coming and going
往く: [ou]ku, move ahead, depart, pass away
交う: -[ka]u (verbal suffix) act reciprocally

往き交う: [?]ki[ka]u, separate/depart from one another?

= [ona]ji [taion] to [taieki]-ga
= same body-temperature and body-fluids[S]

= [taga]i-wo [?]ki[ka]tte
= reciprocity[O] departing-from-each-other

Eek eek eek eek.

At least Kenshin's hair looks uncut, so it's not following Seisouhen (*are* there any Seisou-based doujinshi, I wonder?)....

It's the opposite. Kenshin cut his hair at the end of the manga, but never did in Seisouhen. That's the one thing the OVA did correctly in my long-hair loving opinion.
