Spot keeps climbing onto me and then somehow failing his dex roll. My arms and legs are accumulating weird, narrow scars that are only in straight lines when I'm sitting at certain angles.

At least his lap-detection algorithm is still working, I guess. And once he settles down, he stays painlessly in place instead of going into bitey mode like the Shadowcat. It really isn't fair; Shadow's winter coat is irresistably soft and plush and scritchable, but only at the price of getting bit after the first few minutes.

Well, actually I'm pretty much inured to Shadow-bites; the initial hurdle was not panicking at the sight of his rather scary-looking ears-back eyes-narrowed snapping motion. He doesn't really clamp down his teeth that hard, and hasn't actually broken my skin in ages. But still, I feel oddly wounded by the fact that he gets bitey at all.

Huh. Not to alarm you, but it sounds like he's actually angry when he bites; Isabel (and before her, Thea) never actually bit through my skin--and Thea would suddenly bite my nose all the damn time.

Hijinks ensued.

Hey, as long as they're on an equal footing. Maisie, sadly, has always been the put-uponee when it comes to cat-on-cat aggression. One tries to interfere when one is around, but.
