Cautious w00tness
Nov. 22nd, 2006 08:39 pmHmm... I just got a query through eBay from a representative of a Shinto shrine near Seattle, requesting a wholesale discount on big gobs o' magatama. They didn't say how many. I have no idea how to gauge this sort of thing.
(Annoyingly, I've gotten other requests for bulk magatama pricing in the past, and every time I ask "Well, how many were you planning to get?", the previous shoppers have never supplied an estimated order of magnitude-- 20? 50? 200?)
OTOH, I've been attempting to speed up my laptop's performance with the usual routine of defragmenting, cookie deletion, etc. This time when I tried to log back into my eBay account, they gave me an unprecedentedly nosy info page to fill out, including things like "mother's maiden name" and even "ATM PIN#". It did seem to be a legitimate eBay page, not a spoofed one, but I still don't like it.
