Limoncello
Jul. 19th, 2011 07:01 pm*fwoof* Just spent two hours flensing lemons for a batch of limoncello. Posting a note here for self-reminder followup later-- the jar has 1.5l Everclear and the zests of 20 lemons, to rest under the stairs for about 6 weeks (end of August) before adding a pre-dissolved syrup of 5 1/3 cups sugar + 6 2/3 cups water and resting for another 6 weeks (mid-October) before filtering into bottles.
Now I just have to figure out what to do with the pile of 20 peeled lemons.
