Finally finished the family tree graphic I've been hashing out for Keōpūolani. I have no idea how I got started on the project in the first place, but hey.

Neat! And, weirdly appropriate, as I'm about to be in Honolulu in..... far too little time to get done all of the things I need to get done, ack.

I'm not sure why her family tree doesn't unnerve me as much as that of Charles II of Spain (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4c/Carlos_segundo80.png)-- maybe because hers doesn't have as much intergenerational mixing (though she did end up marrying her half-uncle Kamehameha I).

Enjoy your stay in Honolulu :) I've never been there, but tremendously enjoyed briefish vists to the islands of Hawaii proper and Kauai.

The Habsburgs... yeah. A family tree where the lines end up doing very weird things indeed (too much dynasty, not enough genetics).
