Aha, finally found the detailed explanation I thought I remembered reading a while back. Too bad the licensed material doesn't have an equivalent so far.

And to give an idea of how widely the official versions vary from the literal ones...

(There seem to be some irregularities in Lafiel's name that make it especially difficult to parse, esp. the "nei Debrusc" part which would normally indicate her royal branch of the Imperial family but for some reason doesn't, but it works out to something like "Imperial house Abriel, descendant of King Debrusc; Viscountess of Parhynu, Lafiel.")
