Hmm. I seen, and own, the first three Crest/Banner of the Stars anime series, for some reason; the first one starts off extremely well, and there's a nicely grand scope to the series as a whole, but it keeps bogging down with Lafiel and Jinto stuck on some stupid planet for eleven or twelve episodes. Don't know if the novels have the same plot structure.
