Last week, I had to go into downtown SF to get a travel visa. The consulate was essentially across the street from Japantown, so I spent some time wandering around over there and looked through the books at Kinokuniya. The craft section had one called Kanzashi in Bloom, which attracted my eye because I'm always happy about new hair toys, and I've been trying to find either the wire-frame bases for traditional kanzashi hairpins or clear directions how to make them.( Read more... )
