Actually, I'm not sure how much of a stretch Cars slash really represents wrt the previous establishment of Transformers slash, of which there's likely to be a huge resurgence with next year's live-action/CGI TF movie. I mean, really; the anthropomorphic forms are just aesthetic frippery compared to the underlying logistics of how/why sentient gadgets have sex (or for that matter, genders) in the first place.
But then, romantic pair-bonding is already canon for both shows, so I guess there's no real reason not to explore the associated physical dimension. Except for having one's brain go kaboomsplat 8|
If you are open to think and imagine crackfics, carslash is not so far fatched. After all, cars, if only by accident, can bumb in another cars backside. ^_-
Someone should ask Pixar just *why* the denizens of the Carsverse have tongues. Long, flexible tongues. Not that fans aren't supplying their own rationales. And illustrations.
