Did you also miss King Kelson's Bride a few years before that? Actually, I was rather disappointed in both KKB and ItKS; it's been a while since I've read her older books, despite the multiple copies on the shelves, so I'm not sure whether it's more a matter of her writing skills having gone rusty or my taste having changed. Didn't take a close look at the recent hardback reprints of Deryni Rising or Deryni Checkmate either-- there're supposed to be some minor textual changes plus a brief new prologue in DC, though I don't know the details-- but I'm still pondering whether to hunt down the new RPG guide despite being unlikely to play the RPG. (The new background info might be neat. Deryni Magic is also undergoing revision for packaging as a supplement.)
