cat + bubble wrap = snap crackle pop

Yesterday I received an eBay purchase, pulled it out of its envelope, and left it in its protective layer of bubblewrap.

The Shadowcat has now taken to chewing on the edges to pop the little bubbles a few at a time, at random intervals.

It's amazingly nervewracking.

dammit

Where the *hell* are those green mitsutomoe beads I've been looking for all week? I've found the other two colors, which I know I've already used more of, and those still make fairly obvious large lumps of storage bags. So where *are* those bloody greenies?

(At least I finally found my near-wave UV single LED, which may be handy if I go bead-browsing this weekend. Which I shouldn't. Because I'm definitely meeting the definition of "too many beads" = "unable to find the particular beads I'm looking for under the masses of others", in a sadly literal sense where 1 mass = a wholesale unit of 1200 beads.)

(Several hours of bead mayhem later: aha, finally found them in an unexpected spot under the furniture, in a bookcase nook where the cats tend to heroically sacrifice themselves by hurling their bodies over the heating vent. Good thing the beads weren't stuffed *down* the heating vent-- or at least that enough of them remained aboveground to be found. I really have to open up that vent and go spelunking at some point-- the cats used to routinely chase any small objects (coins, beads, keys) into it, and there's probably a sizeable magpie stash down there.)
